Bandar Lampung – Kapolresta Bandar Lampung, Kombes Pol Alfret Jacob Tilukay, memimpin langsung proses panen jagung di lahan kebun yang terletak di wilayah Kelurahan Bumi Kedamaian, Kecamatan Kedamaian, Bandar Lampung, guna mendukung Program Astacita sebagai bagian dari upaya mencapai swasembada dan ketahanan pangan nasional, Selasa (29/4/2025).
Hadir dalam kegiatan ini, Waka Polresta Bandar Lampung, AKBP Erwin Irawan, Kebag SDM, Kapolsek Tanjung Karang Timur, Danramil, Camat, Lurah dan perwakilan kelompok tani setempat.
“Kami ucapkan terima kasih atas dukungan semua pihak, yang sudah bekerjasama dalam mensukseskan program ketahanan pangan, semoga ini bisa terus berkesinambungan, dan tentunya kami akan terus mendukung kegiatan ini,” Kata Kapolresta Bandar Lampung, Kombes Pol Alfret Jacob Tilukay, Selasa (29/4/2025).
Menurutnya, jagung yang dipanen kali ini merupakan hasil penanaman jajaran Polresta Bandar Lampung bersama Pemerintah Kota dan Kelompok Tani Bumi Lestari di Lahan kebun milik perorangan di wilayah Bumi Kedamaian yang luasnya mencapai 5 hektar.
Pihaknya menilai kegiatan tersebut juga merupakan wujud sinergi antara aparat kepolisian, pemerintah daerah, dan masyarakat dalam mendukung ketahanan pangan serta meningkatkan kesejahteraan petani.
“Ketahanan pangan menjadi salah satu prioritas yang harus terus didukung oleh berbagai pihak, termasuk Polri,” kata Kombes Pol Alfret.
Selain mendukung Astacita ketahanan pangan nasional, lanjutnya, program tersebut juga dapat meningkatkan kesejahteraan petani jagung.
Ketua Kelompok Tani Bumi Lestari, Narwan mengatakan, total panen jagung diatas lahan seluas 5 hektar ini sebanyak 20 ton.
“Luas lahan secara total untuk di Bumi Kedamaian mencapai sekitar 10 hektare. Selain jagung, kami juga menanam tanaman buah seperti pepaya dan semangka,” kata Narwan.
Kegiatan panen jagung tersebut diharapkan dapat menjadi motivasi bagi masyarakat untuk terus meningkatkan hasil pertanian demi mendukung ketahanan pangan nasional.(*)
