Bandar Lampung – Suasana khidmat dan penuh kebanggaan menyelimuti Lapangan Pemerintah Provinsi Lampung pada Minggu, 17 Agustus 2025. Dalam rangkaian upacara penurunan bendera peringatan Hari Ulang Tahun ke-80 Republik Indonesia, Marching Band Gita Praja Saburai (MB GPS) kembali mempersembahkan penampilan terbaiknya dalam ajang Parade Senja.
Marching Band kebanggaan masyarakat Lampung ini telah berdiri sejak tahun 1991 di bawah binaan Gubernur Lampung, Rahmat Mirzani Djausal, ST., M.M., dan terus menjadi wadah prestasi sekaligus simbol semangat generasi muda daerah. Tahun ini, MB GPS tampil dengan formasi 60 putra-putri terbaik Lampung, dipimpin oleh Aqila Nana Dwianti, siswi SMA YP Unila Bandar Lampung, yang dipercaya sebagai Field Commander. Aqila sendiri merupakan putri dari pasangan Aiptu Suwanto dan Juniati, dan dikenal sebagai salah satu generasi penerus berprestasi di bidang musik marching band.
Dalam penampilan istimewa kali ini, MB GPS membawakan empat lagu, yakni Rumah Kita, Takkan Tergantikan, PML (Paint My Love), dan Indonesia Pusaka. Aransemen musik yang energik dipadu dengan koreografi yang tertata apik membuat ribuan pasang mata terpukau. Tepuk tangan meriah penonton pun menggema setiap kali formasi dan alunan musik berpadu harmonis.
Sepanjang kiprahnya, Marching Band Gita Praja Saburai telah menorehkan segudang prestasi bergengsi, di antaranya:
Juara Umum Bandung Marching Band Competition (BMBC) 2018
Medali Emas Kejuaraan Nasional PDBI LKKBB Etape I Madiun 2022
Juara Umum Festival Olahraga Rekreasi Nasional (FORNAS) ke-7 di Bandung 2023
Peringkat 8 besar Kualifikasi PON di Yogyakarta 2023
Juara Umum Marching Band Piala Kemenpora RI 2023
Juara I Colour Guard Ensemble Senior & Juara I Drumline Battle Senior Kejurnas Lampung Competition 2025
Prestasi-prestasi tersebut semakin meneguhkan eksistensi MB GPS sebagai salah satu marching band daerah yang mampu bersaing di tingkat nasional.
Pengurus MB Gita Praja Saburai, Drs. Lukman, M.M., menyampaikan rasa bangganya atas konsistensi dan dedikasi generasi muda Lampung yang tergabung dalam marching band ini.
“Di samping putra-putri pegawai negeri pemerintah provinsi, anggota GPS juga ditambah dengan siswa-siswa berbakat dari berbagai SMA di Lampung. Mereka mendapatkan perhatian khusus dari pemerintah sehingga bisa tampil di tingkat nasional. Prestasi yang diraih selama ini adalah buah dari kerja keras, disiplin, dan dukungan penuh semua pihak,” ungkapnya.
Tak hanya mengharumkan nama Lampung lewat kompetisi, Marching Band Gita Praja Saburai juga aktif tampil di berbagai event penting pemerintah maupun swasta. Keikutsertaan mereka dalam Parade Senja Penurunan Bendera HUT RI ke-80 ini menjadi bukti nyata bahwa musik, kedisiplinan, dan semangat generasi muda mampu memperkokoh rasa persatuan sekaligus mempertebal kecintaan terhadap Tanah Air.
